What is a martingale collar?

A martingale collar is basically a soft choke collar that tightens when a hound pulls which prevents hounds with long necks and small heads from backing out of the collar.  Most greyhound adoption groups require all greyhounds to wear only martingale collars for the safety of the hound but they are also perfect for many other breeds.

What materials are used?

All of the collars in the Crown Collars collection are constructed with only the best materials to ensure safety and durability.  Our collars begin with a strong but flexible 600lb. weight tested polypropylene base which is completely wrapped in silky-soft cuddle satin leaving no exposed edges making them comfortable for hounds even those with sensitive necks.  Two rows of reinforced stitches are placed at each pressure point to ensure safety. Crown Collars uses only cast nickel and brass (solid, not plated) hardware that is sleek and strong but not too heavy or bulky.  The same quality hardware is used all around the collar and not just at the place where the collar adjusts.

How long does it take to receive my collar once it's ordered?

All collars are sewn and shipped within four days of receiving payment and some collars that are already sewn are shipped the same day.  Please also see our Shipping & Returns Policy.

How and where do you ship?

I ship worldwide using the United State Postal Service's (USPS)  Priority mail service to the United States and Global Priority for International orders.  Shipping is a flat rate of 4.05 anywhere in the United States no matter how many collars are purchased as long as they are paid for with one payment. International shipping is calculated based on where you are.  Please also see our Shipping & Returns Policy.

Do you make custom collars?

Yes.  I have made custom sized collars for tiny pups such as Italian Greyhounds and large pups such as Mastiffs.  Please email me first for all custom orders to ensure availability of trims.

What is your return policy?

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your collar once you receive it, you may return it within 7 days for a full refund as long as long as it is in new, unworn condition.

Do you donate collars?

Yes. I donate a new collar to every senior greyhound looking for a home with Team Greyhound Adoption of Ohio and North Coast Greyhound Connection.  I also donate many collars all over the world for various fundraising efforts.  Donation inquiries should be made in writing on agency letterhead including your 501-C- 3 tax exemption number, what the collar(s) will be used for.  Please place your inquiry at least a month in advance to using our postal address.
